So I had a baby monitoring session today, and what is that? just learned it … they plug you to two monitors, one for the baby and one for your uterus (yeah, my uterus has a lot of things to say these days). And then they see 1) how the baby reacts to movement, sound, etc. and 2) how my uterus is doing in preparation for labor.

The results are that :

1) Eliott is doing great. He did his little star in the session, he didn’t stop moving, he even had hiccups, “plein forme”, “en forma total”.

2) There is absolutely NO SIGN that my uterus is getting ready for labor .. no contractions, NOTHING…. it seems we are in for a full term pregnancy, which seemed to delight the medical staff and disappointed me a little since I got confirmation that I will be carrying this bulky belly around for some time …

Anyway, lets put first things first, the most important thing is that Eliott is doing very well and has plenty of energy and vitality :-) .

It turns out that the due date is not calculated the same way in France than in Spain or in the US. Most part of pregnancies last between 38 and 42 weeks. Doctors in France give you the end of your week 41 as the due date : that would be the 26th of July for Eliott. BUT doctors in the US or in Spain give you the end of your week 40 as your due date: that would be the 19th of July ….  so we are 3 or 4 weeks away of the due date!

Considering the latest developments (impossible to sleep, difficult to breath and walk, vigorous side kicks, difficulty fitting even maternity clothes …) I would prefer that Eliott considers the Spanish/American approach and decides to come out as soon as possible .. if Eliott wants to come tomorrow, that’s absolutely fine with me.

Hi, Some of you have asked me about my address to send a gift to Eliott when the day D comes. In fact, to make it easier for you, we have created a list of things that Eliott needs and that you can buy over the Internet in Galeries Lafayette. Then we can go directly to the store and pick up the stuff … very practical for you and at the same time, we make sure that we don’t end up with three baby monitors. The website is in french, but I think it is pretty self-explanatory, it is here. Click on “Liste complete” and chose what you want.  Eliott is already very greatful, not only for the gifts, but for all the attention that you are giving him, even before he is born. Thanks!!!

Lourdes and Raul welcomed baby girl Lizara tonight. Both are doing great.

Looking forward to have more news from the new family!

Eliott, we can’t wait anymore!!

( and be ready to hear mommy complaining about the side kicks you are doing these days :-) )

Last weekend Isabelle had a party to say bye-bye to her single life. Vincent also, but that’s Guillaume job.

We, the ladies, had a wonderful time, and although I missed some activities due to my big belly (like jumping in the trees, drinking alcohol and clubbing until very late) I was there most part of the time, having lots of fun. The theme of the night was Heineken (go figure or better ask Isa what she wants to drink) and we all were green beautiful, specially Isa. This deserves a picture, there it goes:

Isabelle, we were very happy to be part of your party. Looking forward to your wedding!!!

Besos!
